Having designed wedding gowns for the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham Avril Lavigne, it is little wonder that she is the first name that springs to mind. But other celebrity wedding dress designers you may know include Armani - Katie Holmes; Monique Lhuillier - Kate Walsh; Christian Lacroix - Christian Aguilera; John Galliano for Dior - Gwen A-line Wedding Dresses . Ironically, the likes of Vera Wang Monique Lhuillier may not have even started in the wedding dress industry had it not been for their own weddings a lack of dresses they liked. 2010 Wedding Dresses

Before you make plans to cater your 2010 Wedding Dresses , you need to decide on a guest list and also set your budget. It is important to know how many people you will be feeding on your special day before deciding on a three-course meal ending in Lobster Thermidor and Prime Rib. The number of guests invited will greatly affect your catering plans. It common for brides (and their families) to spend more than $20 a head for guests to eat a full meal. These days, many couples are paying for their own weddings, in full or in part, so keeping the food budget-friendly can be very important. Consider what time of day to hold your wedding reception. Lunchtime wedding receptions can sometimes save you money per head because you can serve a light meal rather than several courses. If you want to pare down the menu even more, consider a dessert and hors' dourves reception, set either between lunch and dinner (2 to 3 p.m.) or late in the evening (8 p.m. or later). People will have already eaten by this time, so you can get away with a much lighter menu, of snacks and maybe some other desserts, in addition to the traditional wedding cake. Next, you should check and see if your reception site has any restrictions as far as catering. Some venues will ask you to only use caterers they have a relationship with, and others may charge you an extra fee to bring in your own caterer. Here are some questions to ask your venue: Do you provide tables and chairs, or will I have to rent those? Do you provide table settings, or will my caterer have to supply those? What are your policies on alcohol? Is there an additional fee for using an outside catering company? Once you have those big questions out of the way, it's finally time to start interviewing caterers. Check out our homepage and click on your city to get a list of local caterers. It is also a good idea to ask friends or family members who have recently planned weddings if they can refer you to a good caterer. Your reception site may also have good leads. You might even be able to get a discount networking in this way. Whatever you decide to do about catering, remember that this is one day of your life, and if you don't feel comfortable budgeting several thousand dollars for a full meal for all of your guests (which is very easy to do if you have a large guest list), don't do it. There are other options, and even if you feel pressured to serve dinner to out of town guests, remember they are there to celebrate your wedding, not to eat a meal. If you don't feed them, they'll just go out for dinner. No sweat! Once you have your budget, number of guests, and venue figured out its time to start interviewing. Here are Some initial questions to ask your caterer: What is your experience and how long have you been in the business of catering? Do you have the proper licensing, health and safety inspections, and up-to-date liability insurance. What size event can you accommodate? What is the typical event size that you cater? What is included in the price (taxes, service charge, equipment rentals, staff to be there on the day of the event, etc.)? What is the deposit required? Also, what will the payment plan look like and when is the final balance due? Do you have a liquor license? (Make sure to ask about extra fees incurred if you are buying your own wine or service charges for bartenders that they may supply.) What do you charge if the event runs later than 2010 Evening Dresses ? The rest of the questions should be the fun part. This is when you'll get to choose your menu, taste samples (ask if your caterer can arrange for a tasting for you and your fianc, if they haven't mentioned this as an option already), and envision the food that will be served on your big day! Consider how hungry your guests might be and what time of day your reception will take place. If you are serving lunch or dinner, this will be considerably more expensive per head (per person) than a mid-afternoon snack or desserts only reception. Also consider that while a buffet may be more ideal for the guests serving themselves, some guests may tend to over-serve themselves, making your overall food costs go up. To avoid that, you may want to have a sit-down meal where each dinner is portioned out already. Your caterer may or may not be working from a set menu. See if they are willing to accept some of your requests or suggestions if you have something particular in mind. A good caterer will have suggestions for your regardless. If you need some creativity to jump start your thinking, here are some popular themed menu ideas to help cater your wedding: Southern BBQ: Barbecue, Southern Fried, or Plain Grilled Chicken, House Salad, Roasted Red Potatoes, and Corn Bread. Hawaiian Luau: Roasted Pork, Fresh Fruit Salad, Sweet Potatoes, and Coconut-Crusted Shrimp Appetizer. Italian Family Dinner: Two types of Pasta (like Fettucine Alfredo and Linguini Marinara), Dinner Rolls or Garlic Bread, Italian Salad, and Tiramisu Squares. Desserts Only: Variety of Cookies, Empire Wedding Dresses , Cheesecakes, Tiramisu, and other Desserts. Coffee and/or Smoothie Bar. (Nuts and Party Mints make great supplements to tide guests over.) Appetizers Only: Mini Quiches, Vegetable Trays, Fruit Trays, Tortilla Chips and Fresh Salsa, Swedish Meatballs, Cheese Tray, and/or Cocktail Shrimp.

By Jason Hennessey Your wedding day being one of the happiest days in your life calls for utmost planning and uniqueness if only for the memory. Make it as memorable as possible by giving the whole ceremony a touch of class and uniqueness that will remain etched in the minds of those in attendance and to the bridal couple as well. The one sure way to impress this day on the minds of your guests is the way you arrive at the venue of the ceremony and the reception as well. You can choose to arrive in the usual automobile convoy so common in every other wedding, or you can choose to arrive in style in a different kind of carriage. A saying goes why walk while you can ride and why ride if you can fly. Likewise on your wedding day, why be common while you have the means to stand out? Bridesmaid Dresses

Now the big difference with a Bachelorette party is that Bachelorette?s tend to enjoy girly Bridesmaid Dresses . Sure you can still have a stripper if you wish but most girls would probably rather do something that involved: spas, dancing lesions, or maybe even a simple movie night. Whatever the activity may be the only thing you should be looking at as planner or friend is the bride herself, this is her moment and the moment of which she needs to be embraced by you, she is the most important person in the room, she is your Goddess during that time, worship her! Well? maybe not that, but I think you get the gist of it.A good way to show your immense appreciation of your friend is to hire a limo for the evening to drive you from one location to the next. This allows for EVERYONE in the party group to travel together under one ride and it also makes the bride feel important and powerful, which is the common idea. One of the most obvious reasons for hiring an auto for the evening is so you can rest assure that everybody gets to the same location safely and without any problems, that way you can drink lots of alcohol and not even worry about who?s going to drive. If clubbing and drinking isn?t your forte you can go on out to a spa, that always seems to make women and bride?s to be happy. Let them get a massage, a facial, a manicure; let her do tons of stuff to gussy up for the big day. You can eat out at these places as well, as long as the dishes served are low-fat, you don?t want your bride to go hog?s wild? Another, rather controversial idea, but still a good idea nonetheless is enrolling in some quick exotic dancing lessons. Hire a professional to come out to a home teach the bride and the girls how to Mother Of The Bride Dresses . You can either do this, as I said, at home, or away at a dance studio, both work just fine. It?s this time together that you, the bride and the girls can have the most fun and it also lets them do something you?d never think anyone could do in their life, especially if they?re usually socially reserved.A less crazy idea is for the bridesmaid to just host a simple movie night. It?s never a bad idea just to sit-back, relax and enjoy romantic comedies for hours and hours. Of course, if the bride and the bridesmaid are cool they?d choose a selection of films that are actually worthy of attention. Choose your selection of movies wisely because this could very well be the last time you, the bride, and your girls get to hang out with each other. So it is essentially you make these hours in the night count because if you don?t, it?s just another day and you don?t want it to be just another day, especially if it?s your friend?s last day of freedom. So, make it a night everyone?s going to love. If you?re having a good time, odds are she?s having a good time too. Plus Size Wedding Dresses

The bachelorette party is the bridal shower's cousin from across the tracks. Both parties mark the bride's transition into couplehood, but they do it in distinct ways. Bridal showers celebrate with pomp and circumstance. Bachelorette parties celebrate with booze and Plus Size Wedding Dresses . Here is how to tell the difference between a bridal shower and a bachelorette party and the unique roles they play in the bride's transformation.Legend says the first bridal shower was held for a poor miller's daughter. Her father disapproved of her marriage and would not consent to it, nor would he pay the girl's dowry. Her friends, sympathetic to her plight, gathered in her honor and "showered" her with enough gifts that she was able to pay her own dowry, wed her husband, and live happily ever after. Today, bridal showers continue the tradition of preparing brides for their upcoming marriages. Traditionally, they have been used to equip brides with tools and advice they will need to have a successful marriage. The bridal shower is thrown in the bride's honor by a member of the bridal party. The hostess prepares a venue with food, decorations, and games, and guests bring along gifts and their best marriage advice. Guests mingle, eat, and play games, and, at the party's main event, watch the bride open her gifts. These are wedding gifts: blenders and espresso machines and matching china. If a bridal shower was not held, they would have been given at the wedding. Bridal showers are attended by the wedding party, the mothers of both bride and groom, and other close family and friends who will also be coming to the wedding. The amount of guests invited to the bridal shower is limited only by budget, gender, and the desires of the bride or hostess. Any female who is also invited to the wedding could be invited to the bridal shower, though most bridal showers don't include all female wedding guests. Some forward-thinking hostesses are now designing couple's showers where the groom and male guests are also welcome to attend.Bachelorette parties are the bacchanalia of the bridal parties: drunken celebrations in honor of the dying god of Cocktail Dresses . Like bridal showers, they are not required, but they are a fun way to mark the ending of an age. Bachelorette parties are often hosted in bars, clubs, or restaurants. Drinking, flirting, and poking fun at the bride are usually the main attractions. These parties don't have to be celebrations of the bride's most base instincts; anything that gives the bride a feeling of an appropriate send-off would suffice. Bachelorette parties could be centered around a night of pampering, adventure, or even quiet reflection. Whatever makes the bride feel celebrated, liberated, and complete makes a great bachelorette party.Bridal showers and bachelorette parties are not necessary, and they are not mutually exclusive. You may host one or both for the bride in your life. For the bridal shower, cater to her sense of excitement for the future. For the bachelorette party, celebrate the ending of her past. Celebrate the bride and let her know you are her friend now, later, and in every adventure her life holds. Misha Anatolia is a wedding and bridal shower writer.
